Expert users
A limited number of expert users will be recruited to join
a panel of users with additional privileges. Using their own
computer, they will be able to comment on, add to and index
material in the Archive. Over time the detailed research notes
added by our group of experts will become a valuable addition
to the Archive and increase its value as a research tool.
In return for helping us index material they will have access
to higher resolution images and they will be alerted whenever
other changes are made to files on which they have commented
themselves.
Experts will need to provide more detailed registration information,
as we need to be sure that any new data added to our catalogue
is authoritative and not libellous. To protect the archive,
all experts will need to be recognised by the trustees, who
may require additional information. In all cases the trustees’
decision on membership of the expert group (including discontinuation
of such membership) is final and need not be explained.
Apply for Expert Status
Although experts are normally invited to join our panel we
do welcome applications from those who may not be known to
all the trustees. All invitations and applications are subject
to close and confidential scrutiny in order to protect the
Archives property and reputation.
In order for us to consider your application, please fill
in the form as completely as possible and, if you have a CV
(résumé) please forward that separately to info@millsarchive.com
with a brief reference to your application.
