Peter Dolman has sadly died aged 46. His many friends in the windmill world will miss him.
Peter owned the beautiful post mill at Stanton near Bury St Edmonds in Suffolk and created an attractive website which describes the restoration so recently completed.
He was secretary of the Suffolk Mills Group and a Committee member of the Mills Section of the SPAB.
At the SPAB Spring 2002 meeting on archives he made an important presentation on their importance in the restoration of mills. He was a keen advocate of archives and helped us in setting up the Mills Archive. At the meeting Peter generously gave us a copy of his presentation which you can now view online.
