Mead Mill was another mill near the centre of the City. It was the second one of the series powered by the Eastern branch of the river. With four mills, one after the other, along such a short stretch of river with so little fall in it, they could not all survive. This was another one to disappear a very long time ago. It once stood midway between St. Mildred’s Mill and King’s Mill
